Troubleshooting Your Wireless Connection
When Connected With A Wireless Advanced Router CPE

What to do if your wireless connection is not working:

1. Confirm that the Power Over Ethernet (POE) box is correctly hooked up as shown above, and that the LED is illuminated. If the LED is not on, check your AC power outlet. If you have AC power but the LED is still not on, the AC Adapter is most likely defective and will need to be replaced (possibly caused by a power surge).

Please do all further connection troubleshooting from a computer that has a wired connection.

1. Go to Start, then select run. Type cmd into the box and press the enter key. When that window opens, type "ipconfig" and press enter. Your computer should provide information back as to what IP address it has. It should start with 192.168.1.x where "x" is a number from 20 to 254. Your computer's gateway address should be 192.168.1.1. If this is correct, then proceed, if not, check your cable connections once more before calling your internet service provider.

2. Type "ping 192.168.1.1" into the window. You should get 4 replies. If not, your computer is not able to communicate with the router. You may have a firewall program or other type of security program interfering with it. If this works, then proceed to the next step.

3. Type "ping 10.0.0.1" into the window. If you get replies, then your connection is working all the way into London. If not, please call your internet service provider.

4. If you still cannot get online, please call your internet service provider.
