What to do if your wireless
Internet connection is not working:
NOTE: You may need this after a power failure.
NEVER press the reset button on this unit for more than 3 seconds. It
will reset it to factory default settings and guarantee that your
connection
will not work. It will also mean a chargable service call to get
it reprogrammed.
If the Power LED is not on, make sure you have the AC adapter plugged
into a live electrical outlet. If it is, then you may need a new
AC adapter.
If a LAN LED is not on, there is a problem between the wireless
bridge and the network equipment in your premises, please check your
network connections, and try the other network port.
The WAN LED will blink to indicate traffic. If it is on and not
blinking, there may be a problem with the wireless connection from our
access point. Make sure your antenna has not been moved or damaged. If
your antenna apears normal, try unplugging the power connector, count
to 30, and plug it back in. Then wait about a minute. If
you still can't get connected, call your internet provider.
If the LAN, Link/Act, and Power LEDs are all on and your connection
still does not work, unplug the power connector and wait 30 seconds
before plugging it back in. Wait until the power LED stops flashing
and try again.
Once all the lights come back on:
– If you have a gateway/router
connected for sharing your connection,
power it off, wait 30
seconds and
power it back on.
– If you have the wireless bridge
connected directly to your computer, you
may need to reboot
the computer.
If after all these steps you still can not surf the net, or if you are
having to do this more than once a week, please call your Internet
provider to report the problem.
